The Beanfield: Organic Public Art

This interdisciplinary project is in its second year. It combines art, culture, and agriculture in a unique and completely inexplicable (to me) way! Check out the Wexner Center description, or this 2006 news release from the OSU College of the Arts for more details. (Edited 5/20.)

The kickoff for year two is Food for Thought, a fundraiser for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank 's Operation Feed on Monday at the Wexner Center.

The project was inspired by Henry David Thoreau's bean-field as described in Walden. I'm going to have to read Walden again, or at least this chapter, to fill in the blanks.
